The Stay Well This Winter campaign is a joint initiative from NHS
England and Public Health England, to help people with long-term health conditions and those over 65 prepare for winter and ward off common winter illnesses.
Winter can be seriously bad for the health of these people, increasing the risk of blood pressure, heart attacks and strokes. There are a number of things you can do to prepare against the cold weather:
- At the first sign of a cough or cold, get immediate advice from your pharmacist before it gets more serious
- Speak to your pharmacist about medicines you should have in stock over winter
- Pick up prescription medications before the Christmas holidays start as many GPs and pharmacies will close over the holidays
- It is important to keep warm in winter, so heat your home to at least 18°C (65°F), if you can, you might prefer your living room to be slightly warmer
- Make sure you get your flu jab
- If you need help over the holiday period when your GP surgery or pharmacy is closed, call NHS 111 or visit www.nhs.uk

Named Accountable GP for all Patients
All current and new patients registered with this Practice are allocated a named GP. If you would like to express a preference as to which GP you are assigned the Practice will make reasonable efforts to accomodate this request. Having a named GP does not prevent you from seeing any other doctor within the Practice.
If you wish to be told the name of your Accountable GP please ask the receptionist when you are next in the Surgery. PLEASE NOTE: there is no need to telephone the Practice for this information, our phone lines are very busy and primarily are for patients with urgent needs.
Dementia Friendly GP Surgery
We are proud to announce that we have been awarded Dementia Friendly Practice status
Take our Friends and Family Test (FFT)
The NHS wants to ensure that you have the best possible experience of care. The Friends and Family Test is a way of gathering your feedback about this experience and helping to drive improvement in GP services.
When you receive care at the Surgery you will be given the opportunity to give your feedback by answering a simple question about your experience.
The results will provide a way for you to easily compare NHS Healthcare Providers so that you know where you and your family can get the best possible care.
The information will also give the NHS invaluable information on what patients think of services, which can be used to help make improvements if required.
Just click on the 'Friend and Family Test' link at the side of the page.
For results of feedback given by patients who have already completed this survey click on the 'Friend & Family Results' link at the side of the page.
